CLUB RULES

 

THESE RULES WILL BE REVIEWED AT THE END OF EVERY YEAR.  IF ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS ARISE BEFORE THIS TIME, THE      COMMITTEE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE AMENDMENTS.

 

1. Play at all times is subject to the rules and regulations of the recreation ground, which are displayed on the Cricket Pavilion.
 

2. Non-member Parishioners and guests of members are required to pay a fee.  There is no fee for members.
 

3. Membership cards/keys constitute proof of membership and members may be asked to produce them when using the courts.
 

4. Courts may be booked for periods of one hour by Parishioners and members by completing the booking form on the notice-board.  A maximum of two advance bookings may be made in one week.  All players’ names are to appear on the sheet.
 

5. Sensible footwear must be worn on the courts.  No hared soled or ribbed trainers or black soled shoes.   This is to conserve the surface and it is therefore in everyone’s interest to adhere to this rule.
 

6. Consideration must be shown to those using other recreation ground facilities.
 

7. Access to courts is via the car park and the Kissing Gate, not the access road to the Telephone Exchange.
 

8. Riding of bicycles or animals, or the driving of motorised vehicles is strictly forbidden, as are roller skates or skate boards.
 

9. No radios or cassette players are allowed to be played within the precincts of the courts.
 

10. Spectators and non club members are required to obey the same rules as members.
 

11. Tennis balls that go onto the Bowls Club Green are to be left.  They will be returned to the Tennis Club later.
 

12. There shall be no jumping over the net, or racket abuse, or climbing the perimeter fence.
 

13. Parents or Guardians should ensure that the courts are not used as a recreation ground and may be held responsible for juniors behaviour.  Under 11’s must be accompanied on the courts by an adult and are the full responsibility of their parents.
 

14. Any member seeing behaviour in a manner contrary to the best interests of the courts or the club house should report the  matter to a committee member.  The committee reserve the right to review any membership.
