Floodlighting is available on all courts to enable tennis to be played at any time.
The token meter is situated in the Tennis Pavilion
To activate the lights:
Turn on the two main switches,
these switches activate the meter and a light over the doorway. (The light over the doorway will remain on when the floodlights ‘run out of time’, to allow you to turn all the switches off.)
Put tokens in the meter.
The meter will then show the amount of time in minutes you have to play.
Turn the large switch to 1
Switch on the floodlights one by one. (When turning the lights Off it is important to turn them off one by one not by using the Mains Switch)
If you wish to continue playing and the lights have switched themselves off, there is a delay of approximately 10 minutes before they can be re-activated.
To use the floodlights you will need tokens. One token lasts for 30 minutes and costs £1.00
All switches should be turned off at the end of play, the lights may fuse if all
turned on at once.
